The Council’s purpose is to serve in an advisory capacity to the Philadelphia Federal Executive Board in the area of human resources for the purpose of:  (1) prioritizing annual activities based on needs assessments and OPM directives; (2) Valuing, Encouraging, and Supporting a Diverse Workforce through hiring practices, retention, recruitment and knowledge sharing while fostering partnerships with professional and community groups to raise awareness and promote public service as a career; and (3) Championing Career and Professional Growth by pooling resources and experience to support and advance the capacity of the Philadelphia federal workforce by providing technical and leadership training opportunities to assist with career evolution.
