Created in 1996 by consolidating all special emphasis program, the Council is comprised of primary EEO officials (both full-time or collateral duty) from federal agencies. The Council’s vision is to promote an inclusive and nurturing work environment where individual differences and contributions are valued. The Steering Committee meets monthly and its functions include: design and implementation of the Annual EEO/Diversity Day of Training (which attracts more than 750 attendees each year); Careers in Government briefings at colleges & universities; and operating our ADR program.
